My name’s Ed and I’ve just joined the team at edgeofmyseat.com to help them design and produce their new project. I’m on a summer placement from the University of Exeter and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into some serious coding.

Hopefully this blog will provide new and possibly exciting information regarding the progress of the new project.

At edgeofmyseat.com we spend all day building web applications that help our clients run their businesses better. This summer, we’ve decided to spend some time building our own web app to make running our own business better, and we’re hopeful that once we’re done, we’ll be able to make it available for you to use too.

The phrase eating one’s own dog food refers to developers using the software they’ve created themselves. As we’re building this for ourselves, and also aren’t quite ready to say exactly what it is we’re building, we thought that would be a good code name to go with. So welcome to Project Dog Food.
